Pre Order/Sales

I wandered through Best Buy yesterday on my little trip to the real world and this puppy is already on sale there as a pre order. Too bad it would cost me more to go pick the damn thing up than it would to have it shipped to me overnight.

So based on that thought, and a rainy day at the boatyard, I went ahead and pre-ordered from Gamestop. In so doing, it will ship overnight to me on the 11th and I get a code for "Day One use" of the M1a1 Carbine, a gun that I actually own (Locked away safely in my parent's gun chest in Maine.)

what the hell is one day use mean? there's no traditional demo for this game?

its a shame CoD5 came out a month later or FC2 came out a month earlier lol

Merc, there will be no demo for PS3 but for some reason XBox gets one (imagine that.) I had posted that on one of those posts we lost last week. Day-One means that it is weapon you earn through ranking up unless you get the code for it, then you can use it right from the start.

so r u going to give us all the code? I have an m-25 whitefeather my dad gave me a couple of wks ago it has never been fired and is serial number 21. He also gave me a dragunov that had been unfired up to that point and I must say its really fun to shoot. I like the m-1 it has always been one of my favorite weapons to shoot to bad the m-12 sux so bad in the game well for me anyway.

If it works for more than one person I'll hand out the code, that's what I'm paying for right??

My Dad used to carry the M1 under the front seat of his car in deer season with a clip on the dash just in case he saw a deer by the side of the road while he was going to and from work. I don't know about now, but it used to be legal to shoot a deer if you were 15' off the road when you shot it. Yeah we got some strange laws in Maine...

I pre-ordered my copy of COD:WAW today. It says it ships to the store on 11/11/08, so does that mean I can pick it up that day too?

Yeah xbox gets free unlocks and a week of double xp to start right out of the box and thats at wal-mart. F-xbox I keep sending emails to sony and complain they dont do us right because xbox is hooking there people up I never get a response but I know if enough people do this it cant hurt. The pc gets something to but as far as I can see ps3 is the only one that doesnt have the special promo although its not the same price its like 15 bucks more to get the stuff mentioned above.

I don't hate you trip, but if they do what they did with SOCOM, they were holding for release date while everyone who had it in the store (Target, Walmart, Best Buy) was selling it. They ticked off quite a few people who pre-ordered and couldn't get on the pre-order release date, just letting you know....

I understand Microsoft throwing the bone to their clients but Activision isolating an entire platform of gamers just seems stupid. I really don't understand the marketing strategy here.

Does cod5 have 10 lvl's of prestige? I may pull a death and hang out at 55 Man prestigeing sucks.

World at War will have 10 Prestige levels but each level goes to 65 this time make 650 levels to get the gold cross or whatever they give is this time.
