It is a great idea. I'm sure it will be a wonderful addition. Unfortunately, MGO offered this 2 years ago. The exception being the logos on the weapons, which is kind of a less intense Mod Nation approach.
I don't mean to be a complete hater, and I could potentially buy the game, but they need to chill out with the novelty angle. It looks like a sick game, I just hope they don't ruin it like Activision did with the ridiculous killstreak BS. And for all of you that hate me for saying that, riddle me this... when is that last time we had enough of the clan on to fill two full squads of a game of MW2, playing the same type of match? Back in the (COD4) day, we used to fight for spots on the hot squad each night. I used to sit with beer and chips hoping one of you would call it a night so I could get an invite. It has been too long.
Here's to hoping Black Ops sees that success. I need a fix!

Wow, I really sound like a hater and an ass. Must have been a rough day at work. I'm trying to keep an open mind. I really do look forward to the possibility of Black Ops uniting us again.
Cheers, and apologies for being so negative. Seriously.

No, I agree Buck. MW2 and all of the BS killstreak crap did ruin a lot of the fun. Was anyone able to find out if there's going to be noob tubes in BO?

Scavenger does not refill; its the most expensive attachment; can't be used with Warlord (aka Bling in MW2)
So looks like if you run with Warlord, even though you get two attachments the tube cant be one of them. Seems weird, not bad just weird.

Also the killstreaks have been tweaked. you can no longer get a killstreak and just hide and wait for it to get you a higher streak (chopper gunner, or nuke)
You have to physically get to the next killstreak with your weapons. So it should cut out a lot of helicopters just being around all the time

true that, also to get a weapon or perk or anything else you have to unlock it before you can buy it. so you cant just get whatever you want from the beginning. im not sure what to think about that, i guess ill have to see.

Fridge,
I believe it is the same concept that is available now in MW2. You have to get to certain levels before you have the opportunity to use certain weapons. Once you acquire the weapon you have to kill a number of players prior to using specific attachments. It would seem that once you unlock an attachment , that would be when you'd be able to purchase the attachment. Anyways, we'll know for sure in the next few hours.

No...and Yes
once you reach a certain level you unlock the option to Purchase that weapon...and once you buy the weapon you can buy ANY attachment you want ..doesnt matter what level you are at

thats cool with the attachments but why make you purchase something when you already have to unlock it? it just makes using money to buy it seem worthless. i know you still have to earn the pro portion of perks.

You unlock it to give you the option top buy it.
If you unlock it you can't use the gun until u purchase it.

I think it helps you evaluate the weapons and stay away from the junk. The bonus is I don't have to kill 50 people now to get the red dot sight.
