Oct. 16th, 2013 Update

Hello and welcome to all who see this message.  We are about 1 week back in action and we have less than two weeks to go before Battlefield 4 arrives and three weeks before COD Ghosts drops.  The clan website is pretty much set and I'll tweak it from time to time to make sure it stays up to date. 

With fall here and a long cold winter ahead, I'm planning on being active here in the forums and on the PSN.  I didn't pre-order a PS4 so I'll have to wait for the demand to drop so I can order one.  Unfortunately, the Playstation 4 will not support Playstation 3 games natively. This means that any retail (IE disk-based) or digitally downloaded games will not be playable on the new console.  So it may take a few months for everyone to be on the same platform.  For now, STP will support both the PS3 and PS4 platforms.

Again, I ask that if you still play with other STP clan mates, please pass on to visit the website at www.stpclan.darkbb.com and check in.  You have been patient with me and I'm in no rush to boot anybody.  As a matter of fact, I've restructured the clan in a way that is no longer rank oriented or STP clan exclusive.  We are friends through gaming first and foremost.  I will do my best to drive STP forward since nobody else wanted to do it.  It is a lot of work but I finally have some free time to do it again.

My rough plan, subject to change without notice, is to get both games on PS3 and only stepping BF4 up to the PS4 when it arrives. Both machines will be set up side by side so I can join on with whatever is going on.

I was thinking about moving my PS3 down to the family room but I'm thinking it will be set up like you Shane...side by side with the PS4 probably for a while.

I've just done up the 3rd "bedroom" which now consists of a 46" Samsung, 2 seater sofa, PS3 (space for a PS4), new WIRELESS Astro A50's (no more 6 leads to get my A40's to work on PS3) and no bed haha.

Like I have said I have pre ordered 3 PS4's in the hope one will come on release day, I will be getting PS3 ghosts and upgrading digitally to PS4 so I can always play on both. Pretty gutted that Watch Dogs has been delayed until Feb 2014.

I haven't seen anything but can PS3 players play with PS4 players?

Hopefully catch you online this weekend I wasn't well last weekend so missed some of you although you would have been on the BF Beta.

P.S Merc have you seen my PM?

Martin there won't be cross platform play on Ghosts. That's why I'm keeping that as a PS3 game... at least to begin with.

I hope my PS4 comes quick so I have the choice where I play.

It feels weird posting in the forums again while sitting in our new home with two children asleep upstairs, how times change!!!! Be cool gaming again, think I've played 30 mins of MW2 in the past 2 years! I remember playing nightly and talking to work colleagues during the day about the clan activites, they thought I was mad :-)

I should have spare times on the nights I just to get BF4 and maybe Ghosts and I'm away, although I'm worried about my 6mb bandwidth :-/ my area hasn't got cable or fibre optic - not good!

Finger no excuse I was on less than 1mb until I moved to my house a couple years ago (HELLO 72mb!!)
